So here we are in Korat, in northern Thailand. It's actually Nakorn Ratchasima, but even the locals found that too much of a mouthful so it's been shortened to Korat.

Speaking of mouthfuls, the food has been plentiful and relatively tasty. However, I refuse to believe the scale outside the recovery centre which claims I have put on four kilos. It just CAN'T be so.

We've been here since Tuesday and have spent the last three days working out, acclimatising and settling in generally. The individual events kicks off tomorrow and my team comp is on Tuesday, the last day of the fencing events.

We're feeling pretty good, and I have been making full use of the sports science and medical recovery facilities, which consist of massages and hot-cold baths for me.

In fact I've just completed a one of each and am feeling pretty damn sleepy at the moment. Will go check on my laundry before hitting the sack for a quick naperooski. Hope everyone is doing well and being good.
