Easter weekend was a tumultous one for me in more ways than one. Aside from recovering from a head cold, or at least trying to, I also had to deal with the "polar bear" episode on Saturday, the Spex form hassle (also on Saturday), doing laundry, running errands, cycling (and talking on my cellphone) in the rain on Sunday, and too much champagne on Sunday night.

So I had to take an MC on Monday to let my throat recover properly.

That said, I managed to start riding again and to plan some interesting challenges in order to make sure that my 30th birthday year doesn't come and go with the usual ho-hum blahness.

I'm hoping to do the 10k swim, bike to KL, run another marathon and qualify for the SEA Games this year. For anyone looking for inspiration, you should read "Ultramarathon Man" by Dean Karnazes. It's about his life as an ultra-endurance athlete and is rather inspirational as I found.

So anyway, it's the start of another week, the end of another month, and the rains have come.

Another earthquake has hit and thankfully, no waves this time. I'm feeling a little listless at the moment but I wonder if it's cuz I slept too much last night. Fell asleep at 2am and woke up at 10 this morning, which necessitated a spirited sprint into the office, all the while speaking to Mark about the farce and fiasco that is currently the federation. I can't believe one person can create so much chaos and confusion and just bad vibes in general. Dumbass.

Oh well. Life rolls on. I should get running again soon as well. And swimming. Hmmm...at least that's still entertaining.
