I just finished reading Scar Tissue, the Anthony Kiedis autobio...I highly recommend it. Other than the freaky stories about the Chili Peppers and the funky lives they lead, it's also a very personal look at one messed-up guy's personal journey of discovery. And it's very sweet in places that you least expect it to be.

I realised that I enjoy reading about real people's lives because there isn't a whole lot of opportunity for me to meet weird or crazy or funky or amazing or incredible people in my own day-to-day mundane, boring life. I mean, there are tonnes of great people around, but few have survived cancer, or 20 years of drug and alcohol abuse, or won the Olympics, or have similarly stories to share. So I read about them and try to take pieces away that I can use.

I'm all hazy and foggy today after last night's drinky-poos with Lufthansa. The view at the City Space at Swissotel was very nice and made the beer go down a treat. It was also very pleasant to catch up with Jinksy and Little Cloud although the conversation did get pretty deep and draggy at times. Women...go figure.

A break from the booze tonight as I try to stay vaguely in fencing shape and then it's downhill to the weekend from tomorrow night. The extreme regime rolls on though. Better jump back, Jack.

Happy Wednesday.
