Lately I've been feeling like I'm suspended between two stars (the interplanetary kind as opposed to the rock 'n roll ones) and am being slowly but surely crushed by what I assume are rather large G forces (I was never very good at science).

It all gets a little too much sometimes but I guess one just has to get on with it. What a way to spend the long-ish weekend...in a state of turmoil. Ah well...I asked for it I suppose.

On a happier note...the old body is responding to the care I've been taking of it...not burning up the lungs or hammering the liver...ok, maybe the liver is taking a couple of shots but what's new eh ? Training is starting to come around a bit and a couple of bike rides have actually been rather punchy so it's all good. Speaking of bike rides, I was out just now and noticed a vanguard of clouds that formed a solid bluish-grey mass and the sun was peeking out from behind it and the rest of the sky was powder-blue with puffy white clouds...it was a very pretty picture and made it to my list of "Singapore moments". These differ from "Hong Kong moments", "Lanzarote moments", "childhood moments" and the like...pieces of memories that stay with me for years and years that have a particular taste, smell or emotion attached to it and all it takes a trigger for it to come flooding back.

Well it cheered me up a bit.

So it's on to Taipei in four days time, then Malaysia the week after...then a small break before I start ramping it up for next season. Man, this year seems to go on a fair bit. I'm actually looking forward to the end of it.

Now off to look for nourishment.
