Ok...that emotional drama stuff seems to have passed me by...I swear I must be hormonal sometimes...it just ain't right for a boy to feel like dat (yes yes I'm over-compensating).

But all that angst has been replaced with sheer outright fury at the incompetence displayed in the office. Back at work for the first time in four weeks today and I'm ready to throttle the simian. One-eyed bug-eyed bozo assigned me a story that had been passed around to two other reporters before me and even when I gave him early notice that it was going to come in ridiculously late, the moron resisted giving it to the late reporter. So now there are two of us sitting around waiting for something to happen. Good lord, only in this company is idiocy the norm, random acts of morons standard operating procedure, and sheer dumbness rewarded with editor-ship.

Ok. And breathe. And relax.

I am resigned to my fate which is in the hands of imbeciles. I hereby relinquish any sense of loyalty or conscientiousness I may or may not have held or exhibited to this place in the past. From now on, nothing more than is required. For it pays not one jot.

Just heard that the company is waiting for approval from the chairman in China, who is suspected to be out carousing at some banquet. Lovely.

So training is out tonight. Taipei next weekend, Malaysia the weekend after, and then the world cups in Kuwait and Doha in January before SEAFF in Brunei. Hopefully I can knuckle down to some serious work in December. Otherwise it's gonna be a rocky start to the new year.

On a (ever-so-slightly) more positive note, reservist is over and done with and I had a moderately ok time in the end. The regular chaps cheered me up no end, especially the sardonic SOF guys. The speech I made at the closing seemed to tickle a few funny bones...Never seen Ah Beng laugh so hard and for so long. Chief Engineer also seemed to think it was amusing so it was all good.

Hmmm...little Benny Tan is developing into quite a rascal...It's gonna be tricky keeping watch over him...with a girlfriend and all and still ever the PLAYER. Tsk tsk...he's gonna grow up to be a naughty one I'll wager. Heh.

And with that...it's off to monitoring the website for any signs of that damned results statement.
